Foraging Walks Kilburn
An exciting new Community Champions project led by Michael Stuart.
Free foraging walks
Learn about edible weeds and other plants growing wild in Kilburn
We walk past hundreds of plants in Kilburn every day that are good to eat. Over the course of the project we’ll learn how to recognise and even taste some of the edible articles we find through our foraging. There’s no pressure to attend every session, you can do one walk or all five. Beginners welcome, as are accompanied children.
To book on any of our five dates, click here.

- Tue 23rd September 10.30-noon, meet at entrance to Grange Park on Kilburn High Road next to Black Lion, 274 Kilburn High Road, NW6 2BY, with refreshments after.
- Tue 30th September 10.30-noon, meet at entrance to Maygrove Peace Park, opposite 114 Maygrove Road, NW6 2ED. with refreshments after.
- Tue 7th Oct 10.30-noon: Kingsgate Estate: meet outside Beit Alwared (pink café opposite Oxfam) on corner of Kingsgate Place and Kilburn High Road, NW6 4JD

Each walk will have a short themed e.g. human hunter gatherers; rights for weeds; ; how we’re surrounded by life. As the project progresses there will also be opportunities to share knowledge.
You can book here or just turn up, though we prefer you to book so we have an accurate gauge on attendance numbers. All walks will go ahead unless it is raining heavily.
